Crunchy Popums

These no bake chocolate chip and peanut butter cookie balls are an easy, bite size treat. Even better, you can make them ahead and freeze them.

Makes 5 dozen balls or 30 servings, 2 balls each.

Ingredient list

  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup sifted powdered sugar
  • 36 CHIPS AHOY! Cookies, finely crushed (about 3 cups), divided

Directions

Mix peanut butter and sugar in medium bowl. Add 1-1/2 cups of the crushed cookies; stir until well blended.

Shape peanut butter mixture into 60 balls, using 1 heaping teaspoonful for each ball. Roll in remaining 1-1/2 cups crushed cookies until balls are evenly coated; cover.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Store leftover balls in refrigerator.

  • Substitute

    Prepare as directed, using 30 finely crushed OREO Cookies.

  • Make Ahead

    Prepare as directed. Place in airtight container. Freeze at least 4 hours or overnight. Serve frozen or thaw at room temperature before serving.

  • Fun Idea

    Make Creepy Cookie Spiders out of Crunchy Popums. Insert 8 (1/2-inch) shoestring licorice pieces into each ball for the "spider's legs." Add 2 small candies for the "eyes."
