Recipe Tips

Heat oven to 350°F.

Place wafers evenly in 1-1/2-qt. casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with nuts.

Whisk eggs, milk, granulated sugar and spices until blended; pour over ingredients in casserole dish. If necessary, use back of spoon to gently press wafers into egg mixture so all are evenly coated with egg mixture.

Bake 30 to 35 min. or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Meanwhile, cook butter and brown sugar in large skillet on medium heat until butter is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally. Stir in maple syrup. Bring to boil; reduce heat to low. Slice bananas; add to skillet. Stir to evenly coat banana slices with sugar mixture. Cook and stir 1 to 2 min. or until heated through.

Serve "French Toast" topped with banana mixture.
