Recipe Tips

1

Cover baking sheet with wax paper.  Dip NUTTER BUTTER Cookies, 1 at a time, into white chocolate, turning to evenly coat both sides of each cookie with chocolate.  Gently shake off excess chocolate before placing cookies on prepared baking sheet.

2

Add decorations to a few of the cookies as shown in photo to resemble Day of the Dead figures. Sprinkle tops of the remaining cookies with green sugar, then decorate to resemble monsters. Refrigerate 15 min.

3

Place CHIPS AHOY! Cookies in single layer on separate baking sheet. Dip strawberries, 1 at a time, halfway into remaining white chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip off strawberries before placing them on tops of cookies. Decorate to resemble ghosts. Refrigerate 15 min. or until chocolate is firm.

4

Insert pretzel pieces into filling in opposite sides of OREO Cookies to resemble spiders. Use some of the remaining white chocolate to attach small candies for the spiders' eyes.

5

Separate a few OREO Cookies, then scrape off creme. Discard creme or reserve for another use.  Use serrated knife to cut each cookie piece in half. Arrange 2 cookie pieces at an angle on parchment-covered baking sheet to resemble bat wings as shown in photo. Repeat with remaining cookie pieces. Spoon some melted chocolate into piping bag. Cut small piece off one bottom corner of bag, then use to place dots of chocolate where every 2 wings meet; top with a SOUR PATCH KIDS candy piece for the bat's body.  Add nonpareils for the eyes, securing to candies with additional melted chocolate.

6

Separate the Boo OREO Cookies, leaving all the creme on one half of each cookie.  Use a small metal spatula, toothpick or wooden skewer to carve the creme into a pumpkin shape as shown in photo. Then, use a toothpick to draw jack-o'-lantern faces in the pumpkins, carefully removing and discarding any excess creme.

7

Arrange cookies on tray or platter just before serving.

Note: When preparing cookies, plan for 1 decorated NUTTER BUTTER Cookie, CHIPS AHOY! Ghost Cookie or OREO Spider and 1 Carved OREO Cookie or SOUR PATCH Bat per serving. Serve with additional fresh fruit to help satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth without over indulging.
