Makes 1 cup cheese spread or 8 servings, 2 Tbsp. cheese spread and 16 WHEAT THINS each.

Ingredient list

3 Tbsp. chopped fresh chives, divided
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Neufchatel cheese, well chilled (See Note.)
½ tsp. garlic powder, divided
½ tsp. smoked paprika, divided
WHEAT THINS Original Snacks

Directions

Heat oven to 400°F.

Spray center of small shallow baking dish with cooking spray. Reserve 1 Tbsp. chives for later use.

Sprinkle top of Neufchatel evenly with half EACH of the garlic powder, then paprika. Sprinkle 1 Tbsp. of the remaining chives onto center of prepared baking dish; cover with Neufchatel, seasoning sides down. Top with remaining garlic powder and paprika.

Use sharp knife to score top of Neufchatel into cross-hatch design, making cuts about 1/4-inch deep. Sprinkle with remaining chives.

Bake 5 min. or just until Neufchatel is softened and scored cuts start to separate. (Do not over bake.)

Top with reserved chives. Serve with WHEAT THINS.

Recipe Tips

SubstituteSubstitute WHEAT THINS Big Snacks for the WHEAT THINS Original Snacks. Each serving is 2 Tbsp. cheese spread and 11 WHEAT THINS Big Snacks.
Important NoteFor best results, the Neufchatel cheese needs to be well chilled as indicated in the ingredient list before using to prepare this easy-to-make recipe. If desired, you can freeze the Neufchatel for just 5 min. before using to prepare this recipe.
Use Your GrillHeat grill for indirect grilling. Light one side of grill, leaving other side unlit. Close lid. Heat grill to medium-low heat. Coat Neufchatel with seasonings as directed; place in small disposable foil pan sprayed with cooking spray. Place on grill grate over unlit area; cover. Grill 3 to 5 min. or just until Neufchatel is softened, watching very carefully so as not to burn the cheese. If grill cannot be set up for indirect grilling, you can instead place the filled foil pan on the grill warming shelf to heat the cheese spread as directed. Please note that the cooking times will vary with the different types of gas or charcoal grills that might be used.
