No one at your Halloween party will be scared of these cute spiders giving their cupcakes a hug! Kids will love these fun homemade chocolate cupcakes.

Makes 24 servings, 1 cupcake each.

Ingredient list

1 pkg. (15.25 oz.) devil's food cake mix
1 container (12 oz.) ready-to-spread fluffy white whipped frosting
2 oz. semi-sweet baking chocolate (1/2 of a 4-oz. bar)
24 OREO Cookies
48 mini candy eyeballs (about 1-1/2 tsp.)

Directions

Prepare cake batter as directed on package. Spoon into 24 paper-lined muffin cups. Bake as directed on package for cupcakes. Cool completely.

Spread frosting evenly onto tops of cupcakes.

Melt chocolate as directed on package; cool slightly. Reserve 2 tsp. chocolate for later use. Use remaining chocolate to drizzle 8 lines onto top of each cupcake to resemble the legs of a spider.

Top each cupcake with 1 cookie for the spider's body, gently pressing cookie into frosting to secure. Use some of the reserved chocolate to attach 2 candy eyeballs to each cookie for the spider's eyes.
