Smoky Cheddar-Bacon Spread Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. Canadian bacon, chopped
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) Neufchatel cheese, softened
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup almonds, chopped, toasted
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp. chipotle chili pepper powder
  •  WHEAT THINS Original Snacks

Instructions

  • Cook  bacon in nonstick skillet on medium heat 1 to 2 min. or until lightly browned, stirring frequently; cool.
  • Mix  Neufchatel cheese with bacon and all remaining ingredients except WHEAT THINS in medium bowl until blended.
  • Refrigerate  1 hour.
  • Serve  with WHEAT THINS.

Recipe Tips

Special ExtraTop spread with slivered green onions before serving.

SubstituteSubstitute 1 tub (8 oz.) reduced-fat cream cheese spread for the Neufchatel cheese.

SubstitutePrepare using chopped smoked ham.
