Quick Ginger Snap Trifle

ServingsMakes 15 servings, 2/3 cup each.
  • 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 tub (8 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 30 NABISCO Ginger Snaps
  • 2 cans (11 oz. each) mandarin orange segments, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. orange marmalade, warmed
  • Prepare pudding mixes with the milk as directed on package for pudding. Gently stir in whipped topping.
  • Arrange half of the cookies in bottom of 2-1/2-qt. glass serving bowl. Spoon half of the pudding mixture over cookies. Layer with remaining cookies and pudding mixture. Top with oranges and marmalade.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve.

  • Variation
    For individual desserts, layer ingredients in 15 wine glasses, parfait glasses or ice cream dishes instead of the serving bowl.
  • Substitute
    Prepare as directed, using one of the following flavor options: CHOCOLATE-CHERRY TRIFLE: Use chocolate instant pudding mix, OREO Cookies and substitute 1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling for the oranges and marmalade; BANANA SHORTBREAD TRIFLE: Use banana cream instant pudding mix, LORNA DOONE Shortbread Cookies, 2 sliced bananas and 2 Tbsp. caramel topping; APPLE PIE TRIFLE: Use 40 NILLA Wafers and substitute 1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling sprinkled with ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon for the oranges and marmalade.
