NUTTER BUTTER PB&J Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 24 NUTTER BUTTER Cookies (peanut shape)
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 pkg. (4 oz.) semi-sweet baking chocolate, melted
  • 1 Tbsp. orange sprinkles

Instructions

  • Separate  cookie halves, leaving cream filling on one half of each cookie. Spread plain cookie halves with jam. Reassemble cookies.
  • Cover  baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread tops of cookies with semi-sweet chocolate; place, chocolate sides up, in single layer on prepared baking sheet. Top with sprinkles.
  • Refrigerate  5 min. or until firm.

Recipe Tips

VariationPrepare recipe as directed, except use the round NUTTER BUTTER Cookies, and omit the orange sprinkles. Refrigerate 10 min. or until semi-sweet chocolate is firm. Melt 2 oz. orange candy coating wafers as directed on package. Use to decorate cookies to resemble basketballs. Let stand until orange coating is firm.

Special ExtraMicrowave 1 oz. white chocolate and 1-1/2 tsp. peanut butter in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 30 sec.; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Drizzle over tops of cookies before adding sprinkles. Alternately, melt 2 Tbsp. peanut butter chips. Use instead of the melted white chocolate/peanut butter mixture.

SubstitutePrepare using your favorite flavor of jam, preserves or jelly.
