
NILLA Bananas Foster "French Toast" Bake

Ingredients
- 70 NILLA Wafers
- ¼ cup walnut pieces
- 5 eggs
- 1¼ cups milk
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ⅛ tsp. ground nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 2 bananas
Preparation
- Heat oven to 350°F.
- Place wafers evenly in 1-1/2-qt. casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray; sprinkle with nuts.
- Whisk eggs, milk, granulated sugar and spices until blended; pour over ingredients in casserole dish. If necessary, use back of spoon to gently press wafers into egg mixture so all are evenly coated with egg mixture.
- Bake 30 to 35 min. or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
- Meanwhile, cook butter and brown sugar in large skillet on medium heat until butter is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring occasionally. Stir in maple syrup. Bring to boil; reduce heat to low. Slice bananas; add to skillet. Stir to evenly coat banana slices with sugar mixture. Cook and stir 1 to 2 min. or until heated through.
- Serve "French Toast" topped with banana mixture.
