Nothing says "home" like a fresh-baked pie, but finding the time to bake can be tough. Here's a quick and easy way to treat the family to the flavors of a freshly baked apple pie.

Mini "Apple Pie" Bites Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. instant flour
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  •  dash ground nutmeg
  • 2 baking apples, peeled, chopped
  • 10 HONEY MAID Cinnamon Grahams, broken crosswise in half (20 squares)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. water

Instructions

  • Combine  brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to apples in medium microwaveable bowl; toss to evenly coat.
  • Microwave  on HIGH 3 min. or until apples are tender, stirring after 1-1/2 min.; mix well.
  • Spoon  apple mixture onto 10 graham squares; cover with remaining graham squares.
  • Mix  powdered sugar and water until blended; drizzle over grahams.

Recipe Tips

VariationOmit powdered sugar glaze. Cover half the graham squares with apple mixture as directed. Top each with thin slice of cheddar cheese. Place in single layer on microwaveable plate. Microwave on HIGH 25 to 20 sec. or until cheese begins to melt, Cover with remaining graham squares.

Special ExtraOmit powdered sugar glaze. Cut apples into thin slices instead of chopping them; place in single layer on microwaveable plate. Microwave on HIGH 3 min. or until tender. Place apple slices on graham squares; drizzle lightly with caramel sauce. Cover with remaining graham squares.
