CHIPS AHOY! Critters Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) brick cream cheese, softened
  • 1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
  • 40 CHIPS AHOY! Cookies
  • 1 Tbsp. EACH: orange and purple colored sugar
  • 40 mini candy button eyes (about 2 Tbsp.)

Instructions

  • Beat  cream cheese in medium bowl with mixer until creamy. Add marshmallow creme; beat until blended.
  • Place  20 cookies, top sides down, in single layer in shallow pan. Spoon cream cheese mixture into pastry bag fitted with round tip; use to pipe cream cheese mixture onto cookies.
  • Sprinkle  orange colored sugar around edges of cream cheese mixture on 10 cookies. Repeat with purple colored sugar on cream cheese mixture on remaining cookies.
  • Cover  with remaining cookies to make 20 sandwiches; press gently into cream cheese mixture to secure.
  • Press  2 candy eyes into filling in each cookie sandwich as shown in photo.
  • Refrigerate  2 hours.

NoteThese kid-friendly treats can be refrigerated up to 24 hours before serving.

VariationIf you don't have a pastry bag, you can instead just spoon the cream cheese mixture onto the cookies before covering with the remaining cookies.
