Caramel Apple-Cheese Spread

ServingsMakes 14 servings, 2 Tbsp. spread and 5 crackers each.
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • ¾ cup EACH chopped Gala and Granny Smith Smith apples
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) Neufchatel cheese, softened
  • RITZ Crackers
  • Melt butter in medium skillet on medium heat. Add apples, stir until evenly coated. Cover; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in sugar and cinnamon; cook, uncovered, 1 to 2 min. or until sugar is melted and apples are evenly coated with sugar syrup, stirring frequently.
  • Place Neufchatel cheese on serving plate; top with apple mixture.
  • Serve with crackers.

  • Make Ahead
    The apples can be cooked ahead of time. Cool, then refrigerate up to 24 hours. When ready to serve, microwave apples in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. or until heated through. Spoon over Neufchatel cheese. Serve with crackers as directed.
