All-American "Whoopie Pies"

Fluffy marshmallow spread between CHIPS AHOY! Cookies makes a great no bake whoopie pie. Decorate with colorful candy for a patriotic touch.

Ingredients

40 CHIPS AHOY! Team USA Limited Edition Cookies, divided
1 cup marshmallow creme
2 cups thawed frozen whipped topping, divided
2 pieces EACH blue and red licorice (8 inch), cut into 1-1/4-inch lengths
2 Tbsp. multi-colored sprinkles (red, white and blue)

Preparation

Place 20 cookies, top sides down, in single layer on rimmed baking sheet.
Microwave marshmallow creme in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 15 sec. Gently stir in 1-1/2 cups whipped topping until blended; spread onto cookies on baking sheet.
Cover with remaining cookies, top sides up, to make whoopie pies. Press top cookies gently into filing to secure. Top with remaining whipped topping and sprinkles.
Cut thin slits in one end of each licorice piece halfway through length of licorice. Insert uncut end of each licorice piece into whipped topping on top of each whoopie pie.
Refrigerate 4 hours.
