ABOUT OUR SCHOLARSHIP

Working alongside Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Sour Patch Kids has committed $1 million over 5 years for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

The 2024-25 academic year is the 4th year of Mischief for Change. We're looking to transform the lives of 10 HBCU students who are using their mischievous spirit to uplift their communities and spark some real change by challenging the status quo.

If you are a current or prospective HBCU student, we want to know how you are using your bold, entrepreneurial spirit to make some "good trouble" in your community.

Applicants Must:

Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior at a TMCF member-school during the 2024-2025 academic school year.

  • Current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must have the 2024-2025 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection.
  • Able to demonstrate a financial need.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.
