OREO Helmets Recipe

Ingredients

  • 24 OREO Cookies
  • 3 pkg. (4 oz. each) white baking chocolate, melted
  • 3/4 cup sprinkles (2 colors)
  • 24 small pretzel twists

Instructions

  • Cover  baking sheet with parchment. Dip cookies, 1 at a time, into melted chocolate, turning to completely coat both sides of each cookie with melted chocolate. Gently shake off excess chocolate, then place cookies on prepared baking sheet.
  • Top  with sprinkles, decorating half the cookies with each color of sprinkles as shown in photo.
  • Break  off small piece from 1 pretzel; dip both ends of broken piece in some of the remaining melted chocolate, then press into 1 cookie as shown in photo. Break off second small piece from remaining broken pretzel, dip ends in chocolate, then attach to cookie to resemble face mask of helmet. Repeat with remaining pretzels and cookies. Discard unused pretzel pieces.
  • Spoon  remaining melted chocolate into resealable plastic bag. Cut small piece off one bottom corner of bag; use to pipe stripes down centers of helmets. Refrigerate 10 min. or until chocolate is firm.

Recipe Tips

VariationBefore decorating the cookies, dip 1 end of each of 24 wooden pop sticks in melted chocolate, then insert dipped ends into filling in cookies. Freeze 5 min., then decorate as directed.

NoteUse 2 different colored sprinkles for the colors of the opposing teams, or your 2 favorite teams. You can also use multiple colors of sprinkles to include everyone's favorite team colors.
